DYERSBURG, TENNESSEE - A 20-year-old Dyersburg man will spend the next 15 years in prison for a shooting that left a teen dead last January.

District Attorney General Danny Goodman Jr. announced Friday that Jeremiah Lamonte Davis, of Humboldt, Tennessee, will serve his 15-year sentence in full at the Tennessee Department of Corrections.

Davis pleaded guilty to his charges of second-degree murder and attempted murder from the shooting, which occurred Jan. 16, 2024.

Dyersburg police responded to the intersection of Hike Avenue and Palmer Street late that morning to find two victims: 18-year-old Kobe Parson, who was pronounced dead at the scene, and 17-year-old Christian Scott, who was airlifted to a Memphis hospital for treatment and survived.
