MANCHESTER, NEW HAMPSHIRE - A Manchester woman has been arrested and is facing charges in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash last week.
Maria Camila Posada Canizales, 27, turned herself in to police Monday and was charged with conduct after an accident.
Police said Juliana Harbeck, 60, of Rindge, was hit by a vehicle Wednesday evening in the parking lot of a Taco Bell on Second Street in Manchester. She was taken to a hospital, where she died.
According to a police affidavit, a man called 911 to say that his girlfriend got into an argument with someone in another car and was then run over. The man told police that his girlfriend, later identified as Harbeck, had told him that she knew the people in the car and wanted to talk to them.
The man said he later saw the occupants of the car fighting with Harbeck, with the driver pulling her into the car and the passenger punching her. As the man ran over and tried to pull Harbeck away from the car, he said the vehicle drove backward, causing Harbeck to fall to the ground, according to the affidavit.
The man said the car continued to turn and travel in reverse, running over Harbeck.
Harbeck's daughter, Ashleigh, told News 9 her heart sank when she learned what happened, and she rushed to the hospital to be by her mother's side.
