INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA — An Indianapolis man has been arrested on murder charges in relation to the fatal shooting of a UPS worker on the northwest side of Indianapolis last month.
According to officials with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, 28-year-old Parris Maul was taken into custody in the 3800 block of Cooper Square Court on Monday. This comes after an arrest warrant was issued for Maul on Sept. 19.
On the evening of Aug. 19, IMPD received a call of a reported shooting in the 5400 block of W 81st Street. When officers arrived, they found a man, later identified as 22-year-old La’Renzo Murray, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound in the parking lot of a UPS distribution facility.
Murray, who was a UPS employee, was taken to a local hospital and was later pronounced dead, according to court documents recently filed in Marion County.
