FOREST CITY, NORTH CAROLINA - The Forest City Police Department said double-murder suspect has been extradited back to North Carolina over three years after being arrested.
Officials said 55-year-old Jose Angelo Gonzalez of Fort Lauderdale, Florida was formally charged with the homicides of Akir Hooper and Stephanie Walker on Wednesday.
According to police, Hooper and Walker were found at a home on Arlington Street in May 2017. Hooper was pronounced dead at the home and Walker was taken to the hospital where he later died.
