LAREDO, TEXAS - The Laredo Police Department has been able to confirm a recent arrest for a man wanted for murder.
On September 26 officers responded to a wanted person reported at the Laredo North U.S. Border Patrol station on 11119 McPherson Road.
On arrival, agents escorted officers to the sally port area for the transfer of custody of Esteban Vargas-Xilatillo, 20. He had an outstanding warrant for murder out of Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office in New Jersey.
Vargas was transported to the Laredo Police Department for booking procedures and later remanded to the Webb County Jail, where he was held in lieu of no bond.
