SPRINGFIELD, MASSACHUSETTS - A 68-year-old Springfield man already convicted of murdering a spouse, is set to spend the rest of his life in jail for killing his wife last year.

The Hampden District Attorney’s Office reports that Kenneth Robson was recently sentenced to 25 years to life in state prison after he plead guilty to killing his wife, Quitiza Holmes, with a hammer last year.

She was 45-years-old at the time.

According to authorities, her husband dialed 9-1-1 after he attacked her to report she might be dead.

It was the morning of April 30th, 2024 when Robson placed that call at approximately 4:52 a.m.

“During the call, Robson identified himself and told dispatchers he needed an ambulance because “he hit his wife with a hammer and she might be dead”...," explained the Hampden DA’s Office.

We’re told during that phone call Robson was instructed by the dispatcher to leave the building he was in, which was on the 100 block of Federal Street, and surrender to police.
