BRIDGEPORT, CONNECTICUT - A Connecticut man was convicted Wednesday of murdering his girlfriend and his father’s friend inside a home in 2021.
Tarik Francis, a 29-year-old Bridgeport resident, faces a mandatory sentence of life in prison without parole because he was convicted of special circumstances murder, specifically killing two or more people in the same incident.
Francis gunned down Candace Goodwin, 19, and Austin Burgher, 59, inside a Bridgeport home on Sept. 9, 2021. He was dating Goodwin at the time, while Burgher was his dad’s friend.
