WILSON, NORTH CAROLINA - The Wilson Police Department has charged Donta Maurice Chestnut with two counts of first-degree murder in the Monday afternoon deaths of Natasha Latrice Sutton, 44, and Avantae Pender, 21, along with the attempted murder of Tiffany Fogg, 37, at a Washington Street home.
Police say officers responded to a shots-fired call on the 900 block of Washington Street and found the three victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Medics pronounced Sutton and Pender deceased at the scene. Wilson County EMS brought Fogg to Wilson Medical Center with a non-life-threatening injury.
Investigators identified Chestnut, 39, of Wilson, as the suspect and took him into custody Monday evening.
