Jataves charged with murder after shooting Dishon in Kinston North Carolina

KINSTON, NORTH CAROLINA - A 20-year-old suspect has been arrested in connection with the murder of Dishon Bount that occurred on Sept. 6 on E. Bright Street, according to the Kinston Police Department.
Officers responded to reports of gunfire just before midnight on Saturday at 500 Bright Street, located a short distance from the police department. Upon arrival, they discovered Dishon Blount, who had been shot multiple times. Despite efforts by first responders, Blount succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
KPD Detectives obtained warrants for Jataves Ellison, 20, following an investigation. Ellison was arrested without incident on Sept. 18.
