Shonterrich charged in Austin Texas after a relationship with a former student

AUSTIN, TEXAS — A former assistant principal at IDEA Public Schools has been arrested on charges related to an alleged inappropriate relationship with a former student, according to an arrest affidavit.
Austin police began investigating Sept. 10 after administrators at IDEA Public Charter School reported that students had come forward with screenshots of alleged sexual text messages between the employee and a former student.
According to the affidavit, two female students approached a school administrator that morning and showed screenshots of alleged sexually explicit text messages.
The former employee, identified as 29-year-old Shonterrich Jeremaine Johnson, worked as assistant principal of instruction at the school.
