Bryant arrested in North Charleston after failing to report child abuse at her daycare

NORTH CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA — Detectives with the North Charleston Police Department’s Special Victims Unit have arrested the owner of a North Charleston daycare on charges of failing to report alleged child abuse.
Police said 45-year-old Robin Bryant, owner of Sweetgrass Christian Academy on Remount Road, was made aware of suspected abuse at the facility but did not notify authorities as required by law.
An employee at the daycare had previously been arrested and charged with unlawful conduct toward a child in connection with the same case, investigators said.
