NEW SCOTLAND, NEW YORK - A farm worker in Albany County has been arrested and charged with the rape of a minor he reportedly met on social media.
Hubert J. Campbell, 38, of New Scotland, was arrested on felony Rape charges involving a 16-year-old female victim.
On Thursday, the Albany County Sheriff’s Office received reports of a sexual assault of a 16-year-old female that occurred on September 15, 2025, at a residence in the Town of New Scotland. According to police, the suspect was identified as Campbell, who is reportedly in the United States as a farm worker through the H-2A program.
Police say, he began communicating with the victim via Facebook Messenger and arranged a meeting, which ultimately led to the sexual assault.
