TIMMONSVILLE, SOUTH CAROLINA — A man turned himself in to authorities Monday afternoon in a deadly shooting last month near a store in Timmonsville, according to Timmonsville Police Chief James Allen.
Marcino Jarvaris Brown, 42, was charged with the murder of 37-year-old Calvin Sowells, who was shot and killed on Aug. 27, Allen said. He was also charged with robbery and criminal conspiracy.
Police said Sowells showed up at the Hot Spot store on Highway 76 with a gunshot wound.
At this time, deputies said it was unclear where he had been shot.
Allen said Kadeem Cleveland McFadden is still wanted for murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and commission of a violent crime.
At the time of the deadly shooting, Allen said, McFadden was out of jail on bond for a previous violent crime, adding that he is considered armed and dangerous.
