DARLINGTON COUNTY, SOUTH CAROLINA — A woman was arrested on Tuesday for a financial crime at Pleasant Grove Church in Darlington County, according to Darlington County Sheriff Michael August.
Police were investigating a fire at that church in July, which uncovered information about church funds being used for personal gain.
At this time, the arrest is not connected to a fire that destroyed Pleasant Grove Church, August said.
