BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA - A 24-year-old woman has been convicted in a deadly drive-by shooting in Birmingham.
Kaylin Sparks was initially charged with capital murder in the Nov. 28, 2021, slaying of 30-year-old Donnika Sills.
Sills was an innocent bystander and left behind a son who had just turned 2 at the time of her death.
A Jefferson County jury on Monday convicted Sparks of manslaughter and second-degree assault.
