Rodriguez arrested after killing Cabrera-Colon in Reading Pennsylvania - Woman and child's bodies found at another location

READING, PENNSYLVANIA - A 61-year-old Reading man is in police custody after, officials said, a 31-year-old man was found dead and the woman he lived with and her 1-year-old son were found slain in separate locations.
According to Berks County officials, the investigation into these slayings began on Sept. 13, 2025, when officers in the area of Baer Park noticed a man lying in some brush along River Road.
Here, police said, officers discovered the body of 31-year-old Junior Cabrera-Colon after he had been shot in the head.
Soon after this discovery, police said, they learned that the woman Cabera-Colon lived with, 31-year-old Geraldina Peguero-Mancebo, and her 1-year-old son, Jeydon Junior Peguero, had not been seen since the day before, Friday, Sept. 12, 2025.
Both Peguero-Mancebo and her son were then entered as missing persons into the National Crime Database, officials said.
Through follow up investigation, police said, on Sept. 18, 2025, law enforcement officials apprehended 61-year-old Jose Luis Rodriguez of Reading for his suspected involvement in Cabera-Colon's death.
