Diversified Columbus Ohio mom charged after her 3-year-old offspring killed himself with parolee sleepover's gun

COLUMBUS, OHIO — The mother of a toddler who shot and killed himself with a gun he found in a home on Monday is being held on $50,000 bond.
A man who fled after the shooting is also being held, but he declined to appear in court.
Carley Dials is charged with involuntary manslaughter, while Sean Perrin faces a charge of having weapons under disability.
Dials appeared in court, where prosecutors recited the facts of the case. They said Dials found the gun in the home on Kodiak Drive near Canal Winchester and hid it between a bed and a wall. Police said that while she was sleeping, the child, identified as Cartier Smith, found the gun, shot himself and died.
