NEW YORK CITY - A homeless man accused of pushing an off-duty cop onto the subway tracks in New York City wore a terrifying hoodie for his first court appearance.
Aaron Walker, 28, allegedly punched and shoved a 24-year-old police office officer onto the subway tracks at a station in the East Village on Tuesday night.
Walker showed up to court Wednesday morning wearing a hoodie that depicted Pennywise the Clown - the evil character who serves as the main antagonist from Stephen King's 1986 horror novel 'It'.
The book was first adapted into a television mini series in 1990. It was then made into a full feature film in 2017 starring Bill SkarsgÄrd as Pennywise.
Since Walker was held overnight in police custody ahead of his arraignment, he was wearing that same sweatshirt when he allegedly committed the crime.
One police officer was seen escorting Walker to Manhattan Central Booking, where he was set to be arraigned on eight charges.
They include attempted murder, attempted assault, attempted reckless endangerment, two counts of criminal trespassing, and two counts of disorderly conduct, according to the New York Police Department.
Court records also show that Walker was released on Sunday for another alleged subway assault in Brooklyn, days before he'd allegedly go on to attack the cop.
Walker did not say anything when he was guided inside and maintained a deadpan expression.
