Harris arrested for a 2023 double murder in Little Rock Arkansas

LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS — The Little Rock Police Department has announced the arrest of a suspect in a December 2023 double homicide.
Tuesday, Sept. 23, LRPD officers arrested 20-year-old Mark Lamont Harris Jr., of Little Rock, and subsequently charged him with two counts of capital murder.
The arrest stems from a Dec. 20, 2023, shooting that killed two males. Patrol officers with the 12th Street Division responded to a ShotSpotter call for service on the 3000 block of W. 14th Street.
Upon arrival, officers located the two individuals suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. MEMS and rescue services responded and attempted life-saving measures, but both individuals died at the scene.
