Corissa charged after shooting her 13-year-old son in Harris County Texas

HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS - On September 23, 2025, deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office were dispatched to a residence regarding a weapons disturbance.
Upon arrival, deputies located a 13-year-old juvenile male suffering from a gunshot wound.
EMS transported the juvenile to a local hospital in stable condition.
The victim’s mother, Corissa Mouton, was on scene and admitted to shooting her son.
She was immediately detained and placed in the back of a patrol vehicle.
Video evidence shows Corissa arguing with her son before firing a single round, striking him in the lower body.
"Corissa Mouton was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Aggravated Assault.
She is awaiting bond out of the 180th District Court." - Constable Mark Herman
