Marcus sentenced to 99 years in prison after murdering Rodney in Houston County Alabama

DOTHAN, ALABAMA -A Houston County judge sentenced Marcus Hubbard to serve 99 years for the murder of a Dothan man six years ago.
The sentence from Judge Kevin Moulton on Thursday came after jurors returned their guilty verdict last month in the shooting of Rodney Caliste at his home.
Most damning for the defense during that trial was Caliste’s blood splatter found on Hubbard’s arm as he stood over the body.
Prosecutors convinced jurors that that Hubbard tossed the murder weapon then told investigators that someone drove by and shot Caliste in the yard of his home in 2019.
