HUNTSVILLE, ALABAMA - A Huntsville Police sergeant was arrested Thursday, the department says.
Timothy Samuel Richards was charged with criminal use of defensive spray.
Jail records show Richards was booked into the Madison County Jail just after 3:30 p.m. Thursday. Richards was then released on $10,000 bond around 4:15 p.m.
According to the Huntsville Police Department, Richards is a sergeant with HPD and has now been placed on administrative leave until further notice.
