HOMESTEAD, FLORIDA — A 51-year-old man was arrested Tuesday after allegedly attacking his longtime partner with a wooden bat in Homestead, leaving her with serious head injuries, authorities confirmed in an arrest report obtained by Local 10 News on Thursday.
Homestead police said Jamie Michael Lane and the victim, who have been in a relationship for about seven years and lived together for four, had been arguing throughout the day.
They said the victim ignored his phone calls, prompting Lane to arrive at the residence upset and begin knocking on the door.
When she refused to let him in, police said Lane allegedly kicked the door, breaking it, and entered the bedroom armed with a wooden bat.
