Landy charged with murder In Tallahassee Florida after stabbing boyfriend Tybius

TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA - A woman was arrested in connection to a July apartment stabbing, according to the Tallahassee Police Department.
Landy Hayes, 37, is charged with second degree murder in the fatal stabbing of Tybius Andrews.
On July, 25, TPD responded to Talla-Villa Apartments and found Andrews with a stab wound. Despite lifesaving measures, he died from his injuries.
According to arrest documents, Hayes was originally questioned by police and later released.
In her initial conversation with officers, she told police that she and Andrews, her boyfriend, got into a physical altercation.
Andrews had been drinking and Hayes told police she noticed he had a knife. According to her statement to police, she was able to take the knife from Andrews.
Hayes told police Andrews impaled himself on the knife.
Arrest papers indicate an autopsy confirmed Andrews had been drinking at the time of the stabbing, but the stab wound had to have been caused by someone else.
During the investigation, officers discovered inconsistencies in Hayes’s story and believe she intentionally tried to cover up the crime.
