GREENSBORO, NORTH CAROLINA - A man accused of shooting and killing an NC A&T freshman in 2022 has been arrested.
In a post on Facebook, Greensboro police said officers arrested 20-year-old Rishon Elias Weaver. He is facing charges of first-degree murder in connection with the death of 19-year-old Kaneycha Turner.
Police said Turner was a student at NC A&T when she was killed in a mass shooting at an event off campus on October 25, 2022, on Circle Drive. Police say six people were shot that night. Turner and 15-year-old Ronaldless Snipes died from their injuries.
