STATESBORO, GEORGIA - The Statesboro Police Department has arrested three suspects in a homicide investigation that left a Norcross man dead.
At approximately 12:30 a.m. Friday, the Statesboro Police Department responded to a shooting at Campus Crossings on Lanier Drive where officers located two gunshot victims. One of the victims, identified as Mikeal Hamilton, 24, of Norcross, was killed, police said Friday afternoon.
The other victim, Ian Lamar Rumph, 24, was transported to East Georgia Regional Medical Center.
Steven Williams, 21, of Augusta, is charged with murder and aggravated assault.
Joseph Miles, 18, and Malik Rashad Freeman, 19, both of Lanier Drive, are each charged with misdemeanor obstruction and making false statements, a felony.
The three were detained at Campus Crossings and transported to the Statesboro Police Department for questioning. Upon further investigation, all three were charged and are currently being held at the Bulloch County Jail awaiting court action, police said.
