Niger charged as accessory in 2024 Beaufort South Carolina murder of teen playing video games at home

BEAUFORT, SOUTH CAROLINA — A Beaufort man is facing charges after being arrested in connection to the murder of a 14-year-old boy who was killed while playing video games inside his home last year.
Niger Benjamin Davilia, 24, was charged with accessory before the fact to a felony, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office. He was already in custody at the Beaufort County jail on charges connected to an incident in December of 2024.
On Jan. 1, 2024, 14-year-old Jerrieme Jermaine Washington was killed when gunfire erupted from the roadway outside his home on Castle Rock Road in Burton. Two other people were inside the home at the time but were not hurt, deputies said.
Three other people have been charged in connection to the murder.
Jeremiah Kieyonte Warren, 18, of St. Helena Island, was charged on May 15, 2025, with murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and aggravated breach of peace.
Alex Joseph Bush, 20, of Columbia, was charged on May 10, 2025 with accessory before the fact to a felony, while Nashaun Jaden Arthur Benjamin, 20, of Savannah will be charged with murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and aggravated breach of peace, deputies said. Benjamin is already in federal custody on an unrelated weapons charge.
