BRADENTON, Fla. (WWSB/Gray News) — A substitute teacher has been arrested on accusations that he pulled a 10-year-old student into a closet and made an inappropriate request, according to law enforcement in Florida.
The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office said 26-year-old Malik Belvin is charged with lewd and lascivious conduct after multiple students from Abel Elementary School reported feeling uncomfortable with his behavior during his classroom assignment.
Investigators said they established probable cause after several interviews and Belvin was arrested on Sept. 30. He was booked into the Manatee County Jail.
