Drunk and high glamorous wife of powerful attorney acted like queen of the road in enormous SUV moments before smash that left woman, 20, in vegetative state

OKLAHOMA - The wife of a prominent Oklahoma attorney drunkenly tore through a quiet neighborhood in her massive SUV, crashing violently and coming within inches of killing a young woman.
Sara Polston, 43, wife of renowned local tax attorney Rod Polston, was arrested in February 2023 after barreling through a Norman neighborhood in her massive Cadillac Escalade and striking 20-year-old Micaela Borrego, according to KFOR News.
At the scene, authorities measured Polston’s blood alcohol content at 0.158 percent - almost twice the legal limit, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by the outlet.
Court documents further alleged that the wealthy mother tested positive for marijuana at the time of the near-fatal crash.
While she regained her freedom in less than 24 hours, Borrego remained in critical condition - locked in a weeks-long coma that would ultimately rob her of the ability to speak, eat and walk.
On Wednesday, Polston pleaded guilty to the wreck that left the young woman fighting for her life over for more than two years, according to KFOR News.
'Imagine seeing something happening to someone you love more than anything in the world,' Noble McIntyre, who represents Borrego, told the outlet in July 2023.
'And then seeing that person that caused that pain and suffering seemingly enjoying their life,' she added.
