MANCHESTER, UK - Terrorist Jihad Al-Shamie was on bail for rape when he attacked a UK synagogue on Yom Kippur, according to reports.
The 35-year-old Syrian-born killer was under investigation for a sex crime committed earlier this year when he plowed his car into worshippers and went on a stabbing spree outside the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue in Manchester on Thursday, The Guardian reported.
It is not clear when the rape took place, but it was being investigated by Greater Manchester Police — one of a number of crimes he is thought to have committed, a source said.
