Dearious and Manuel charged after string of Opelika Alabama robberies

OPELIKA, ALABAMA - The Opelika Police Department has arrested two men in connection with a series of robberies.
Today, 25-year-old Manuel Pascual turned himself in to the Dadeville Police Department regarding his outstanding warrants. He was taken into custody by the Opelika Police Department and charged with five counts of first-degree robbery.
The charges stem from two separate incidents that occurred in the 1200 block of Monroe Avenue on Oct. 5 and Oct. 7. In both cases, the victims reported that a male pointed a handgun at them and demanded money before running away.
Through investigation, detectives identified Manuel Pascual and 22-year-old Dearious Joiner, both from Opelika, as suspects. Joiner was arrested on Oct. 11 and charged with three counts of first-degree robbery.
