Corbett, Holmes, and Hairston charged with murder in Martinsville Virginia after shooting Crystal

MARTINSVILLE, VIRGINIA - Three Danville men have been charged with first-degree murder in the death of Crystal Galloway Jordan of Martinsville, who died of multiple gunshot wounds in August.
Martinsville police officers responded to a disturbance in the 500 block of Forest Street on Aug. 12, involving a large number of people. When they arrived, they found Jordan suffering from gunshot wounds. She was transported to Sovah Health in Martinsville, where she died from her injuries, a release stated.
In the weeks following Jordan’s death, detectives gathered evidence and conducted interviews. The investigation revealed that a large group of individuals from Danville conspired to confront and assault a smaller group of Martinsville residents, so they traveled from Danville to Forest Street in Martinsville and “initiated a violent altercation, during which firearms were brandished and discharged — ultimately resulting in Jordan’s death,” according to the release.
