MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE — A Memphis Police Department officer is facing charges after getting arrested in Oakland earlier this week.
Oakland Police officers arrested Sgt. Christopher Currie on Tuesday, Oct. 14, following a domestic altercation with a woman described as an acquaintance, according to an MPD spokesperson.
Currie was charged with domestic assault, evading arrest, child endangerment, resisting arrest and stop sign violation. MPD officials are conducting an internal investigation.
