Date: October 17, 2025 From: Chief of Police, Robert J. Johnson Subject: Homicide Arrest

CORSICANA, TEXAS - On October 4, 2025, officers with the Corsicana Police Department were notified by Methodist Health System personnel regarding a female patient who had been transferred to their Mansfield facility with extensive head injuries. The patient, identified as 35-year-old Sharette Hervey of Corsicana, had been transported to Methodist by ambulance after initially being taken to Ennis Regional Hospital by Lamieron Robinson (suspect), with whom she was in a relationship. Medical staff at Ennis Regional reported that Mr. Robinson had transported the patient in a private vehicle.

They further stated that he and told them that Miss Hervey had fallen, and that she later began vomiting and exhibiting signs of confusion. Miss Hervey sustained multiple severe injuries, including a fractured skull and a traumatic brain bleed.

Corsicana Police Detectives immediately opened an investigation into the incident. Juvenile witnesses were interviewed by the Navarro County Children's Advocacy Center revealing detailed information regarding the investigation. Further investigation revealed that the suspect had tampered with the security cameras at their residence and deleted all footage from the date of the incident. Family members also advised that they had observed damage to the hood of the vehicle that appeared on the date of the incident, which had been repaired shortly after.

Lead Investigator Detective Corporal Michael Brooks contacted Sgt. Todd Teetz with the Corsicana Independent School District Police Department and requested his assistance in reviewing security camera footage from nearby Carroll Elementary School. A review of the footage provided critical evidence showing that Miss Hervey and the suspect were involved in a domestic dispute in the front yard of their residence. During the altercation, the suspect entered a vehicle and attempted to leave. Miss Hervey climbed onto the hood of the vehicle in an apparent effort to prevent him from leaving. The suspect then drove forward and came to an abrupt stop, apparently attempting to dislodge her from the vehicle. When that attempt failed, he accelerated rapidly out of the driveway, entering the westbound lane of East 13th Avenue. After traveling approximately 30 yards, the suspect applied hard brakes, causing Miss Hervey to be thrown from the hood onto the roadway, where she struck her head and rolled several yards before coming to rest. The footage further showed the suspect spending several minutes attempting to lift the unconscious victim into the vehicle before returning to the residence. He then waited approximately 10 hours before transporting her to Ennis Regional.

Warrants were subsequently issued for Aggravated Assault and two counts of Tampering with Physical Evidence. Following Miss Hervey's passing on October 12th, Detective Corporal Michael Brooks obtained an upgraded warrant for Murder. The suspect initially informed a member of Miss Hervey's family that he was traveling to Mississippi. However, investigators later determined that he had remained in the Dallas area at an unknown location. Throughout the course of the investigation, the suspect actively eluded law enforcement, prompting a coordinated multi-agency effort between the CPD, Dallas Fusion Center, and the United States Marshals Service. On Friday, October 17th Mr. Robinson obtained counsel who contacted the CPD and arranged his surrender.
