Teen arrested after Lehigh Acres Florida murder

LEHIGH ACRES, FLORIDA - An arrest has been made in connection to a deadly shooting that occurred on the 700 block of Alabama Road in Lehigh Acres on Saturday morning.
According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, Isaiah Barsallo, 18, was arrested early Sunday morning and faces charges of murder in connection with the shooting.
“Patrol Deputies, MCU detectives, and RTIC analysts worked tirelessly throughout the day, leaving no stone unturned to ensure this violent suspect was taken into custody—just hours after committing a heinous murder,” said Sheriff Carmine Marceno. “I want the community to know that my team acted swiftly to apprehend the suspect, and we remain fully committed to seeking justice.”
On Saturday, shortly after 11 a.m., deputies responded to reports of a shooting at the 700 block of Alabama Road.
Deputies learned that Barsallo had been involved in a verbal altercation with the victim, who was identified by family as Damien Martin, 42.
Barsallo is the stepson of Martin. Deputies say the two were having an argument when Barsallo pulled out a gun and shot Martin multiple times.
EMS attempted lifesaving measures on Martin, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Barsallo fled the scene in a car, but later turned himself in to LCSO headquarters.
Barsallo remains in custody at the Lee County Jail and faces one charge of murder with a deadly weapon.
