CINCINNATI, OHIO - A 25-year-old woman is under arrest on a murder charge in connection with a weekend shooting, court records show.

Marshee Luther of Bond Hill was booked into the Hamilton County jail just before 2 a.m. Monday.

A judge denied her bond when she appeared in court Monday.

Cincinnati police say she shot Taralynn Bower in the head, killing her, after the two women argued in the 2000 block of Millvale Court in Millvale about 4 p.m. Sunday.

Bower was pronounced dead at the scene in what police say was one of three incidents in Greater Cincinnati in less than 12 hours Sunday.

It was also the second deadly shooting in the city on Sunday.

Bond Hill woman accused of fatally shooting ex-girlfriend after verbal dispute in Millvale

A Bond Hill woman is accused of killing her ex-girlfriend after a verbal dispute in Millvale.

Marshee Luther, 25, is accused of fatally shooting 29-year-old Taralynn Bower around 4 p.m. Aug 31 on the 2000 block of Millvale Court, according to court documents.

Bower was found by police with a gunshot wound to the head and declared dead at the scene, a police sergeant told Enquirer media partner Fox 19.

During her arraignment Sept. 1, prosecutors said Luther shot her ex-girlfriend following a verbal dispute during which Bower was unarmed.

Prosecutors asked that Luther be held with a $500,000 bond. Luther's public defender asked for a lower bond, pointing to her having no record or previous contact with police.

Hamilton County Municipal Judge Samantha Silverstein held Luther on no bond. She remains in custody at the Hamilton County Justice Center.

Luther is expected in court next on Sept. 4 at 9 a.m. to determine whether she will continue to be held without bond.
