New York and Massachusetts thugs arrested on drug charges following Vermont police chase

ST. ALBANS, VERMONT - Police in St. Albans arrested two men who crashed their car while attempting to flee.
On Sunday, St. Albans police responded to a report of drug activity and pulled over the suspected car involved.
The driver was identified as Jose Coiscou-Mercedes, 24, of Staten Island, New York, and the passenger as Brandy Perez, 21, of Springfield, Massachusetts.
During the car stop, a narcotics K-9 was on scene to help search the car. That’s when police say the suspects took off, driving in a negligent manner.
Shortly after, the driver crashed on Swanton Road near the intersection of Franklin Park West, and the suspects ran into the woods.
Officers eventually found Coiscou-Mercedes and Perez, as well as a loaded gun, which the men had allegedly thrown in the woods.
Both suspects are being held at Northwest State Correctional Facility for lack of bail and are due to appear in the Franklin County Superior Courthouse on Monday afternoon.
Charges include resisting arrest, eluding an officer and cocaine possession.
