Greenville North Carolina woman arrested after a stabbing

GREENVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA - Deputies with the Pitt County Sheriff's Office responded to a call regarding a stabbing in progress on Tuesday, September 2, on Olivia Drive in Greenville, leading to the arrest of a 63-year-old Greenville woman.
Officials say that upon arrival, deputies found a 34-year-old man suffering from a stab wound to the arm. Deputies provided immediate emergency care and applied a tourniquet to the wound in an attempt to control the bleeding, per officials. Afterward, the victim was transported by EMS to ECU Health.
Pitt County deputies arrested Annie Gray Lawler at the scene, and she was transported to the Pitt County Detention Center, where she is currently being held without bond after a magistrate found probable cause to charge her with Attempted Murder.
Lawler awaits her first court appearance on Wednesday, September 3.
