Toledo Ohio police cadet Tanna quits the day after her arrest for attack on baby-daddy

TOLEDO, OHIO - A Toledo police cadet has resigned one day after being arrested on domestic violence and assault charges.
According to her personnel file, obtained by 11 Investigates, Tanna Sherman, 35, was hired into the 72nd Toledo Police Academy on March 28. She officially resigned on Aug. 26, just a day after her arrest.
Court documents allege Sherman punched the father of her child multiple times, leaving visible injuries. She has been charged with both domestic violence and assault.
Sherman is scheduled to appear in Toledo Municipal Court on Sept. 16.
