Savyion and Jaquan arrested for a 2022 Florence South Carolina murder

FLORENCE, SOUTH CAROLINA — Investigators with the Florence Police Department (FPD) announced Thursday that two men were arrested in connection with the 2022 cold case homicide of William Ewell, 45, on Prout Drive.
Savyion Vanderhall and Jaquan Brockington were charged with murder and criminal conspiracy.
Brockington was also charged with possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
FPD officers responded around 6:45 a.m. Sept. 14, 2022, to the 400 block of Prout Drive regarding a shooting victim.

" When FPD arrived on scene, we located the victim, who was determined to be deceased in their vehicle with an apparent gunshot wound to the head," FPD said.
