WACO, TEXAS – A 36-year-old woman is facing multiple charges after a man was robbed after making an ATM withdrawal and had his car rammed.

Waco police said an extensive sequence of events began early Wednesday as the victim withdrew $700 from an ATM. An arrest affidavit stated a female with a ” large stature” pinned the victim against a car while another woman took the cash and drove away.

The victim confronted the suspect a few hours later as she sat in her car in front of her apartment complex. The woman began quickly driving away. The affidavit stated the victim was afraid of being run over and grabbed onto the vehicle. The car reached about 30 miles per hour with the victim hanging on, then being forced off the car at speed and falling to the ground and tumbling. This caused him bodily injury in the form of several cuts, scrapes and abrasions.

The suspect is then accused of driving around the block and returning to the street in front of her apartment, crashing her vehicle into the victim’s car. The affidavit stated the victim was near his vehicle but not in it. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $5,000.

Police made contact with the suspect, identified as Shantella Green-Simmons, but identified on the jail roster as Shantella Green. The affidavit stated the officer detected an odor of alcohol and conducted a field sobriety test. The affidavit stated her car was observed to have sustained moderate front end damage from a crash.
