Katraun arrested after murdering 15-year-old Daydrian at a Tucson Arizona house party

TPD confirmed the arrest of Katraun Devon McLendon, 20, in connection with Brown's murder. McLendon appeared virtually before a judge for his initial appearance, facing a charge of first-degree murder.
Brown was shot and killed in the early morning hours of July 6 at a house party, an incident witnessed by several attendees and captured on video. The video has not been publicly released.
Daydrian's mother, Dahlia Brown, shared her perspective on her son's involvement.
“It’s not like I had trouble with my son and oh I need to get him out of this lifestyle, I had no trouble with my son,” said Dahlia Brown.
Daydrian's grandmother, Frances Federico, expressed the profound impact of his loss.
“It’s hard for me because I’m 80 years old and here he is getting killed at 15,” said Federico.
“It gets harder every day, harder every day,” said Dahlia Brown.
Court documents obtained by News 4 Tucson show the complaint filed against McLendon, though they do not detail the evidence linking him to the murder. This information is expected to emerge closer to the trial.
Daydrian was known as a rising star in the local soccer community, and his death has left a deep void in the lives of those who knew him.
In a recent update, the judge decided to hold McLendon in jail on a $1 million bond. Another hearing is scheduled for Sept. 15. According to Dahlia Brown, the video evidence suggests the involvement of two individuals, indicating that another suspect may still be at large.
