Lasavion, Jordon, Khyra, Marcus, My'Kaina, Naheim, Titania, and Moesha arrested after Edgefield South Carolina shooting

EDGEFIELD COUNTY, SOUTH CAROLINA — Authorities have made multiple arrests in connection with a shooting that resulted from an online dispute in what one South Carolina sheriff described as "senseless" and a misguided "street justice" mentality.
The Edgefield County Sheriff's Office shared nine booking photos on Friday that it said showed suspects in an Aug. 15 shooting involving two groups who organized a meeting to fight in Edgefield. Sheriff Jody Rowland described the incident leading up to the shooting as an enlargement and "derogatory statements" made on social media.
Authorities said one female suspect brought a knife, and at least one male suspect from each group brought a gun. The dispute soon led to a shooting and ended with two people wounded, one of them critically, officials said. Since the shooting, the sheriff said all suspects involved in the incident had been identified with warrants for their arrest obtained. Sheriff Rowland said that all but one had been arrested so far.
Authorities said Lasavion Johnson and Jordon Wright were charged with attempted murder. Khyra Miller, Marcus Johnson, My'Kaia White, Naheim Smith, Titania Williams and Moesha Hightower were charged with breach of peace.
The sheriff asked the public for help locating the last suspect, Mysterious Morton, who also faces a charge of breach of peace.
"In all my years of service, I have never seen an incident of this magnitude that was more senseless than this," the sheriff said.
The sheriff added that the gravity of the situation may have been lost on some of the people involved.
"One even made Facebook posts from the Intensive Care Unit shortly after hours of surgery to save her life," he said. "I look forward to their day in court."
