Police finally release mugshots of the 3 gang members who murdered Washington DC Intern

WASHINGTON, DC -Police have released mugshots of the teenage boys accused of murdering a Capitol Hill intern as they search for a third suspect. Kelvin Thomas Jr. and Jailen Lucas, both 17, were arrested on Friday for the killing of Eric Tarpinian-Jachym, a 21-year-old University of Massachusetts Amherst student interning with Republican Kansas Rep. Ron Estes.
Tarpinian-Jachym was fatally shot on June 30, just a mile from the White House. According to U.S. Attorney for D.C. Jeanine Pirro, the suspects will be charged as adults. Pirro stated that both teens have violent crime records and revealed that a third suspect, Naquon Lucas, remains at large.
The young intern was targeted in a drive-by shooting while on his way to grab a late-night snack at McDonald's. Investigators believe he was caught in the crossfire of a gang dispute in D.C. A 16-year-old boy and a woman were also injured in the shooting, with the attackers leaving behind a 9mm pistol and 79 rounds at the scene.
Tarpinian-Jachym’s death has drawn attention to violent crime in D.C., leading President Trump to deploy National Guard troops to the area. His mother, Tamara, expressed her devastation over the random act of violence, noting her son had felt a false sense of security in the area, which is just a mile from the White House.
