WASHINGTON, DC - President Donald Trump has issued a grave warning following the murder of a Ukrainian woman who was brutally stabbed on a train in North Carolina.
When asked by the Daily Mail about the stabbing of 23-year-old Iryna Zarutska by 35-year-old Decarlos Brown in Charlotte, Trump described the killing as "horrible" and hinted that federal troops might be sent to the city, saying, "I'll know all about it by tomorrow morning." This follows his recent remarks about expanding crime crackdowns in cities like Chicago and Baltimore.
Zarutska, who had recently moved to the U.S. to escape the war in Ukraine, was attacked while sitting in her seat on a train last month. Shocking footage shows Brown lunging at her from behind, before cutting to him walking through the train with a bloodied knife as another passenger flees.
The attack has sparked nationwide outrage, though it was initially overlooked by major liberal media outlets like The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, the Associated Press, and CNN. A review of police records by the Daily Mail revealed that Brown was charged in January for misusing 911, claiming at the time that he believed someone had given him a "man-made" substance that controlled his actions.
