UK con-man Junead released after forging "get out of jail free" documents

UK - A conman escaped prison by sending forged “get out of jail free” documents to officials, a court heard.
Junead Ahmed, 36, of Brentwood, Essex, was convicted of fraud in 2023 after he admitted to posing as a doctor in order to rent a property he could not afford, and buy a home worth more than £2 million.
Then, while awaiting sentence, he engineered his release from HMP Chelmsford by sending bosses a fake High Court letter claiming he had been approved for release.
Experienced prison staff were misled and Ahmed walked out of the gates a free man.
But the plan failed when he used the same method to try break out two more inmates.
