Chavez arrested "covered in blood" for attempted murder after a Madera County California shooting

MADERA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA - A Madera County man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a domestic violence call, authorities said.
Deputies responded to the home of Emmanuel Chavez, 44, on Sunday, Sept. 7, and found him reportedly covered in blood, the Madera County Sheriff’s Office said Friday.
Chavez refused to let deputies inside the residence, but they forced their way in and took him into custody after a brief struggle.
Investigators arrested Chavez on suspicion of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, willful harm or injury to a child, negligent discharge of a firearm and resisting arrest.
