Fake pastor's Albuqueque New Mexico trial for multiple counts of rape ends in mistrial due to juror misconduct

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The trial against a career conman accused of sexually assaulting two women was stopped on Tuesday. Andrew Miller had pleaded not guilty to five rape charges.

The court learned that one of the jurors watched a news story about the suspect. Judge Clara Moran declared a mistrial in the case. They will set a new trial date and have to select a new jury.

A con man, child abuser, and now a suspected rapist. Investigative Reporter Larry Barker has been tracking Andrew Miller for more than 25 years, and Miller is still on probation from a 2006 Larry Barry investigation.
Now, he’s been charged with two counts of rape while being the senior pastor of a local church. The new accusations stem from Miller saying he was producing a reality TV show.
In 2023, Miller claimed to be the senior pastor at Albuqeurque’s New Hope Church. But today, he’s an inmate at MDC who prosecutors hope to keep behind bars until trial. On its website, the church has an address of 1635 University NE but there are no church signs visible.
