Teen arrested in Galveston Texas after killing her mother Tiamoya

GALVESTON, TEXAS — A 16-year-old girl has been charged with murder after allegedly shooting her mother multiple times in Galveston, police said.
The incident occurred Thursday night on Avenue Q, where officers responded to reports of a shooting.
Upon arrival, Galveston police found 34-year-old Tiamoya Moore, of Galveston, suffering from gunshot wounds. She was transported to the UTMB emergency room by Galveston EMS but was pronounced dead despite life-saving efforts.
Witnesses identified Moore's daughter as the shooter, and she was taken into custody without incident after returning to the scene. A firearm was recovered nearby, according to the Galveston Police Department.
