Sanchez charged with murder after the New Britain Connecticut shooting of Bruno-Matos

NEW BRITAIN, CONNECTICUT — A man was arrested on Friday in connection to an August homicide, New Britain police said.
Joel Sanchez, 28, was located in Meriden on Friday and was taken into custody on the strength of an arrest warrant.
Sanchez was charged with the following:
Authorities responded to a shooting around 2 a.m. on Aug. 23 on the 100 block of Arch Street.
Officers at the scene said they found a man, identified as Jayson Bruno-Matos, 42, of Bristol suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
